When you live in a place where sweaters, jeans and ankle boots are your wardrobe for about 90% of the year, your everyday uniform tends to go one of two ways: basic classics or a little bit unexpected. This Banana Republic fringed sweater was an immediate shopping cart add – the navy, cream and grey color palette was right up my alley and the fringe detail adds just the right enough amount of interest to spice up an otherwise simple outfit.

If you’ve been reading the blog for awhile you might have noticed that I basically live in these flat ankle boots from Sam Edelman, and for good reason! They’re by far the most comfortable boots I own and the flat heel makes ’em perfect for city living and all of the walking that goes along with it. This suede pair is actually my second pair over the past few years!

Also, while we’re talking obsessions – is anyone else really feeling the tassel trend right now? I can’t get enough! This mint bucket bag from J. Crew Factory adds just the right amount of subtle color (perfect for spring!) but the tassels really steal the show. They’re just so fun!
