2016 Travel Wish List.

Anyone else feel like the first week of January should be officially named “the week of planning”? I’ve been setting goals and scheming up plans for the year ahead at work, for the blog and within my personal life – it’s been one of those weeks that has been equal parts exhilarating and exhausting but I’m feeling truly excited for the year ahead. One of the most exciting parts? Planning out my travel for the year (gotta ration those PTO days!). A look at what’s on my travel wish list for 2016:

2016 Travel Wishlist // Hawaii.

Hawaii
Blaine killed it in the Christmas present department this year and gave me a plane ticket to  Hawaii! We just booked our trip for February and will be spending my birthday (and Valentine’s Day!) in Maui. Neither of us have ever been nor have we ever done a tropical vacation so we’re counting down the days.

2016 Travel Wishlist // Germany.

Germany
My family took a trip to Germany and Austria when I was 5 years old but unfortunately I remember barely anything other than puking all over the place on the flight (whoops, sorry mom!). I’m eager to return and learn more about my family heritage and visit with relatives that still live there on my dad’s side of the family. We’re hoping to make the trip to Germany over Thanksgiving to soak up the Christmas spirit and continue our tradition of traveling over the holiday.

2016 Travel Wishlist // Tulum.

Tulum
This one is carrying over from last year as we didn’t quite make it down to Mexico but is a priority for this year to soak up some sun over Labor Day weekend. Mexico will be a new country for me (anyone else get excited over new passport stamps?) and everyone I know who has been says it’s absolutely gorgeous.

2016 Travel Wishlist // Iceland.

Iceland
Another carry over… whoops! Japan replaced Iceland on our travel schedule for 2015 but we’re hoping to make the trip this year with B’s family in the early summer. It seems like Iceland has really become a trendy place to travel to over the past few years (I blame Instagram ;)) and I’m eager to check out the Blue Lagoon and some Icelandic ponies for myself.

2016 Travel Wishlist // Vancouver.

Vancouver
One of the best things about moving to a new part of the country is how many new places there are to explore that are just a short flight away. From the photos I’ve seen and stories I’ve heard about Vancouver it seems like a pretty magical place, perfect for a long weekend trip!

What’s on your travel wish list for 2016? Anyone have any trips booked?
